For K-12 school counselors · Coordinate behavioral health + learning support · One platform · 855-800-8886
Built for K-12 school counselors

Your student needs more than a referral.
Now you can coordinate everything.

Behavioral health. Learning support. Tutoring. Coaching. Family coordination. When a student has co-occurring needs, you shouldn't have to choose which one to address — or lose track of the others. YOUUniversity lets you coordinate every provider around one student, from the same platform you already use for behavioral health referrals.

Most of them need more than
one kind of help.

These are the students sitting in your office. The anxiety and the reading gap aren't separate problems, and the people treating them shouldn't be strangers to each other.

Co-occurring needs

Anxiety + Learning Disability

Test anxiety and a processing disorder — not a choice between therapy and tutoring. Refer both; the therapist and the learning specialist share one record and coordinate, and you see both sides without chasing updates.

Crisis Referral + Ongoing Support

A student in crisis needs you to move fast — and to know what happens next. YOUUniversity connects directly to the YOUU Health Cloud, so the provider you refer to becomes part of a team you can see. The referral doesn't disappear into a voicemail.

Whole-child coordination

Housing Instability + Academic Decline

The student whose grades dropped because they moved three times this year doesn't need a study-skills workshop. They need a social worker, a resource navigator, and academic support — all aware of each other. YOUUniversity coordinates the full picture, not just the school's slice.

IEP / 504 coordination

Special Education + Outside Services

IEP and 504 students often get services from providers who never see the education plan — and educators who never see the clinical notes. YOUUniversity bridges that gap with a shared record that respects both FERPA and HIPAA, so the IEP team and outside providers are finally on the same page.

How it works

From referral and hope
to referral and coordination.

YOUUniversity replaces the "refer and pray" model with a shared Student Support Episode — a record every member of a student's team can see, update, and act on together. Here's what changes for you.

1

You identify the need — behavioral health, learning, or both

Anxiety that's tanking a student's grades, or a learning gap causing behavioral issues. You open a Student Support Episode right from the same platform you already use for BH referrals.

Takes under 5 minutes
2

You build the team — not just a single referral

Add a therapist, a learning specialist, a tutor, a parent — whoever belongs around this student. Each one gets access to the shared record. They see each other's involvement. They coordinate instead of duplicating.

BH + learning + family on one record
3

You see what's happening — without chasing anyone

The therapist logs progress, the tutor notes a breakthrough, the parent updates on home behavior — all in one place. No phone tag, no emails that never get returned, no wondering if the referral even connected.

4

The record follows the student — not the school year

When the student transitions grades, schools, or ages out of a program, the support record travels with them. The next counselor doesn't start from zero. The team doesn't dissolve. The progress doesn't disappear.

What it looks like

One student. One record.
Every provider connected.

This is coordination when it actually works. The counselor initiated the episode; every provider joined through the platform. Behavioral health and learning support see each other's notes, FERPA and HIPAA are handled automatically, and nobody is working in the dark.

Who it's built for

You already do this work.
Now you have the infrastructure.

YOUUniversity was designed for the people who actually sit across from students and try to connect them to help — and for the administrators who need to prove that help is working.

School Counselor · Social Worker · Student Support Lead

Stop losing students between the referral and the first appointment.

  • Open a Student Support Episode for any student — behavioral health, learning support, or both — in under 5 minutes
  • See whether referrals connected, who's on the team, and what progress looks like — without chasing anyone
  • Coordinate co-occurring needs on one shared record, documented automatically in a FERPA-compliant file that protects you and proves your impact
Principal · Assistant Principal · Director of Student Services

See which students are getting help — and which ones are falling through the cracks.

  • Get building-level visibility into active support episodes, who's on each team, and referral completion rates
  • Give your counselors back the 6+ hours a week they lose to phone tag, so they can do the coordination they were trained for
  • Generate the student support outcomes data your superintendent and board now require
Special Ed Coordinator · MTSS Lead · District Mental Health Director

Bridge the gap between school services and outside providers — with one record.

  • Coordinate IEP and 504 teams with the outside therapists, specialists, and community providers who've never had access to the education plan
  • Track intervention effectiveness across MTSS/RTI tiers with data from every provider — not just the ones inside your building
  • Manage the FERPA-HIPAA boundary automatically — clinical stays clinical, education stays educational, consent is documented
Who can join

Any provider who serves a student
can join their support team.

You build the team. They accept the invitation and join the shared record. No separate contracts. No onboarding projects. The student's needs define the team — not the org chart.

Your school pays $300 a month.
That’s the entire school cost.

No per-student math. No enrollment multiplier. No district-wide contract signed before you know it works. One building, one flat rate — and the providers on your students’ teams pay their own way.

Your school
$300/month
That’s the whole number. Complete care navigation through the YOUUniverse: every counselor in the building, every student who needs a team, every episode you open. It doesn’t move with your enrollment, your caseload, or how many students you coordinate this month.
The providers you invite
$0to your school
They pay their own way. The therapist, tutor, or specialist you bring onto a student’s team starts free — their first episode costs nothing. If they grow into coordinating several students at once, they move onto their own provider tier. It never touches your budget.

Why you’re not buying this district-wide

Navigation priced on enrollment bills the district for every student on the roster — including the many who are never referred to anything. You pay for the count, not the coordination.

YOUU bills for the buildings actually using it. Three schools coordinating? Three × $300. The rest cost nothing until their counselors want in — no RFP, no board vote, no district-wide commitment before you’ve seen it work on one student.

🎯

And the team stays yours

There’s no call center between you and the provider. You invite them, you see the episode, you message them directly, and you know what happened — because you never handed the student off to anyone. The coordination lives in your building, with the person who actually knows the kid.

FERPA + HIPAA compliant by design. No setup fees. No per-seat licenses. No per-student charges. No per-referral fees. Outside providers always start free.

The provider’s side of this

Why the providers you invite
say yes.

Fair question. After the first student, the therapist or tutor you invite is paying for their own seat on the team. Here’s what they get that a directory listing never could.

1

A directory sends a name. You send a client.

Most referrals arrive as a phone number and a hope — no history, no context, no idea why the student is coming or what’s already been tried. Yours arrives with the story attached. They start on week three instead of week one.

2

They stop paying to be found.

A practice spends thousands a month on ads, listings, and lead services trying to reach the student you just handed them. Your referral costs them nothing to acquire — and it came from someone the family already trusts. That math isn’t close.

3

One episode puts them in front of the next one.

The therapist you invite meets the tutor, the speech pathologist, the social worker on that student’s team. Those providers have their own students and their own referrals. Every episode a provider completes connects them to the people who make the next one — without a single cold call. The team grows itself.

4

You can see the work — so you refer again.

A provider who disappears into a black box gets one referral from you. A provider whose progress you can actually watch gets the next student, and the one after that. Visibility is the entire reason your second referral goes where it goes.

Which is why the first episode is free. A provider who does good work on one of your students doesn’t need to be sold on the second.

Questions counselors ask

Everything you need to know
before your first student episode.

I already use YOUU for behavioral health referrals. What does YOUUniversity add?+
YOUUniversity is the learning and coordination side of the same platform. If you're already referring students to behavioral health providers through the YOUU Health Cloud, YOUUniversity lets you add academic coaching, tutoring, learning specialists, and community support to the same student's record. The behavioral health referral and the learning support referral live on one shared record — so the therapist and the tutor know about each other, coordinate their approach, and you see progress from both sides. No second login, no separate system.
What about students who only need learning support, not behavioral health?+
YOUUniversity works independently from the YOUU Health Cloud. You can open a Student Support Episode for any student who needs academic coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or any kind of outside learning support — without a behavioral health referral attached. The platform coordinates the team regardless of whether clinical services are involved. Many counselors start with learning-only episodes and add BH later when co-occurring needs surface.
How does FERPA work when outside providers join the student's record?+
YOUUniversity is designed FERPA-first. When you invite an outside provider to a student's support team, the platform generates the appropriate consent documentation for parent/guardian signature before any education data is shared. Outside clinical providers operate under HIPAA for their own notes. The platform maintains separate consent frameworks and access controls for each regulatory environment — education records stay under FERPA, clinical records stay under HIPAA, and each team member sees only what their consent authorization permits.
Can I use this for IEP and 504 coordination with outside providers?+
Yes — and this is one of the most common use cases. Students on IEPs and 504 plans often receive outside services from providers who have no visibility into the education plan, and school teams who have no visibility into the clinical notes. YOUUniversity bridges that gap with consent-driven access controls. The special ed coordinator, the outside therapist, and the speech pathologist can all contribute to the same student record while respecting both FERPA and HIPAA boundaries.
What happens when a student changes schools or grades?+
The Student Support Episode travels with the student. When a student transitions to a new school within the same district, or even to a new district, the support record and team history can transfer with appropriate authorization. The receiving counselor doesn't start from zero — they see the full history of who was on the team, what interventions were tried, and what progress was made. This is especially critical for students with co-occurring needs who've historically lost all their support infrastructure at every transition.

Your students need more than referrals.
Give them a coordinated team.

Connect your school for $300 a month — that's the whole school cost, whatever your enrollment. Open your first Student Support Episode in under 5 minutes and invite the first outside provider; they start free and pay their own way from there. You're coordinating, not just referring.
